IF you haven't heard of Fisayo Longe, then my dear friends... you have been living underneath a rock. This Forbes 30 under 30 designer is a force to be reckoned with. Established in August 2016, Kai Collective is a London-based womenswear brand of attainable clothing with luxury aesthetics founded by fashion and travel blogger, Fisayo Longe. With a deep passion for women and equality, KAI seeks to create clothing for multi-dimensional women who embrace their femininity in all it’s various forms. From editorials and magazines like Vogue to Who What Where to Elle to The Guardian to Cosmopolitan, Fisayo Longe’s designs have been seen , talked about and worn by the who’s who of the fashion and entertainment industry. Fisayo established KAI after five years of building an online presence through her blog. Now, she travels the world sourcing the best fabric, seeking design inspiration, and meeting ethical manufacturers to collaborate with. Her clothing is intentionally crafted to make women feel like their most confident selves and to remind them never to accept any limitations that might be placed on them.
At Oceans And Roads, we are simply in love with the brands colors and pattern aesthetics. Ms. Longe continuously creates clothing that is vibrant, beautiful, unique but very easy on the eye. She does not use placement print, which means that each piece will have a different pattern. From the bikinis to the sarongs, to the dresses, one-piece jumpers to tops and skirts, all of her pieces are sexy and yet can be considered classic pieces that you can use time after time. You can even go one step further and pair a luxurious bikini top under a white classic blouse, tie it up, slip on a pair of wide-legged linen pants or a pair of jeans and head out for the evening when you’re on holiday. So many options that can turn into closet staples and vintage go-to's over time.
